Key themes of this Eclipse:

Although this is a New Moon, it may feel more like a Full Moon as some aspect of our lives may be completely transformed and/or come to an end. The key choice is whether to keep our heart open, or try to close it down. If we can keep it open, in spite of feelings of old and current pain coming to the surface today and over the next few weeks, we may finally be able to clear out old energies related to past issues that have been clogging up our emotional, mental and physical space. This opens us up to the possibility of truly loving ourselves unconditionally and attracting greater love into our lives.

Our nervous system may continue to feel somewhat jangled until early October. However, from early September we are likely to find it easier to use any impatience and frustration that comes up, to take action and make needed changes in our lives.

Although our thoughts may feel a little jumbled, communication is likely to be more real at this time. It’s well worth keeping note of dreams, as they can offer us a lot of helpful and healing insights.

These themes are more likely to resonate with you if your Sun, Moon and/or angles are between 14′ and 20′ Leo, Aquarius, Scorpio, Taurus, Capricorn and/or Pisces. Also if they are between 0′ and 4′ Aries, Taurus, Libra and Capricorn.

Self-care is particularly important with these intense energies:

Physically – lots of rest, healthy food, hydrating and walking on grass.

Emotionally – reaching out to trusted friends, connecting and talking about what’s really going on for you.

Mentally – any kind of relaxation tools that you find helpful including: meditation, yoga, visualizations, breathing techniques, relaxing music…

Spiritually – whatever practice soothes your soul including: meditation, chanting, energy healing…

Dr. Bernadette Brady describes this eclipse as part of the Saros Series 2. New South
“If this family of eclipses affects a chart, the person may experience the sudden collapse of plans or life-styles. Confusion may reign but the long-term effects are those of rebuilding and transformation. After the dust has settled, the rebuilding starts and the consequences of this reshaping will have far-reaching effects. This eclipse family changes a person’s direction.”  –  Dr. Bernadette Brady (Predictive Astrology, The Eagle and the Lark).
